As part of Autism Awareness Month, NYFAC hosted a “thank you” luncheon for members of the Fire Department’s Engine 331, Ladder 173.
The Aktion Club of Howard Beach at NYFAC helped to cook for and serve the First Responders, and afterward the individuals from our Day Habilitation Without Walls program got a lesson in fire safety.
“The men and women of the FDNY put their lives on the line every day, as do all First Responders,” said Andrew Baumann, NYFAC President & CEO. “This was just a small way to show our appreciation.”
