The individuals of NYFAC’s Day Habilitation Without Walls program were cooking in the kitchen with Chef Camille on Wednesday, September 3.
Each helped mix the ingredients and roll out meatballs, which were later served for lunch.
“Learning to cook – and all the skills involved therein – is great for our individuals,” said Andrew Baumann, NYFAC President and CEO. “Having tasted the meatballs myself, I can tell the main ingredient was love.”
The individuals of NYFAC’s Day Habilitation Without Walls program are very involved, taking community walks, trips to various locations, and even working on a newsletter.
